About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Aide to join our team at The Boulevard Wentzville. This full-time position, referred to as a 'Weekend Warrior Memory Care Support Partner,' focuses on providing empathetic care and creating meaningful connections with residents in our memory care neighborhoods. The role involves understanding resident needs, developing engagement plans, managing the environment to support resident experiences, and documenting care. We are looking for individuals who are at least eighteen years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, can communicate effectively in English, and have a positive attitude. Computer skills are necessary for documentation and printing. This role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and the ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds. The ideal candidate will be criminally cleared and eager to assist residents with daily living activities and support them after falls.

Requirements

At least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Observe residents to discover their interests, abilities, and unique characteristics, and collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, setting up event spaces, and preparing resident rooms for nighttime routines.
Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
