About The Position

Immanuel Communities is seeking a creative, compassionate, and energetic Memory Care Activities Coordinator for Pacific Springs, a senior living community in Omaha, Nebraska. The role provides opportunities for Memory Support residents to participate in programs that enhance their lives in the areas of mind, body, and spirit. The coordinator plans, develops, markets, and implements events, programs, activities, outings, and other engaging experiences. The role also provides support and training to staff involved in dementia-specific programming.

Pacific Springs offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Support residences. Pay is based on experience, education, certifications, and skills. A background check and drug screen are required before hire. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Requirements

• One year of post-high-school education is required.
• One year of experience working with individuals with dementia or memory-related challenges is required.
• One year of experience facilitating or implementing activities in senior living or related experience is required.
• Previous experience training team members or groups of individuals.
• Equivalent years of education may substitute for the experience requirement.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• A background check and drug screen are required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, market, and implement events, programs, and activities for Memory Support residents.
• Lead engaging programs, activities, outings, and events intended to enhance residents’ mind, body, and spirit.
• Provide support and training to staff involved in dementia-specific programming.
