About The Position

Immanuel Communities is hiring a Memory Care Activities Coordinator at Pacific Springs, a senior living community in Omaha, Nebraska. The role provides opportunities for Memory Support residents to participate in programs that enhance their mind, body, and spirit. The coordinator plans, develops, markets, and implements events, programs, activities, and outings, and provides support and training to staff involved in dementia-specific programming. The position calls for a creative, compassionate, and energetic person who builds relationships and creates meaningful experiences for residents living with memory loss.

Requirements

• One year of post-high-school education is required.
• One year of experience working with individuals with dementia or memory-related challenges is required.
• One year of experience facilitating or implementing activities in senior living or a related setting is required.
• Previous experience training team members or groups of individuals.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Equivalent years of education may substitute for the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, market, and implement events, programs, and activities for Memory Support residents.
• Provide support and training to staff involved in dementia-specific programming.
• Create opportunities for residents to participate in programs that enhance their mind, body, and spirit.
