Membership Coordinator

PragerULos Angeles, CA
Onsite

About The Position

PragerU is seeking a Membership Coordinator to serve as the primary connection between their members and the team. This role involves managing direct member communication, resolving issues, and developing a deep understanding of how different membership tiers (Club 5, Premium, and PragerUnited) engage. The insights gained will be crucial for shaping upgrade strategies, retention efforts, and re-engagement campaigns by providing direct visibility into member feedback, motivations, and barriers. While not directly owning email campaigns, this position plays a vital role in enhancing the effectiveness of member communications.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in member services, customer success, fundraising, or a similar relationship- and communication-driven role.
  • Strong listening skills to pick up on patterns and understand underlying messages.
  • Clear and warm communication in writing and by phone, with a tone that reflects PragerU’s mission-driven voice.
  • Organizational skills to manage high volume member interactions, CRM documentation, and coordination tasks.
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally, acting as a bridge between member experience and team needs.
  • Independent problem-solving skills and ability to get up to speed quickly.
  • Genuine alignment with PragerU’s mission.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Virtuous, Salesforce, or a comparable CRM.
  • Background in nonprofit fundraising, membership organizations, or mission-driven communications.
  • Familiarity with PragerU’s content, audience, and membership tier structure.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Club 5, Premium, and PragerUnited member inquiries via phone and email.
  • Handle a high volume of inbound questions, billing issues, and access requests with warmth, accuracy, and a tone consistent with PragerU’s mission.
  • Resolve member issues efficiently and escalate where needed to the Director of Membership.
  • Recommend and help implement process improvements that reduce friction for members and increase team capacity.
  • Act as the internal advocate for the member experience, translating daily member contact into actionable intelligence for the team.
  • Partner with the member communications team to ensure email campaigns and upgrade messaging reflect member sentiment.
  • Track and regularly report patterns: recurring upgrade barriers, cancellation language, common questions, and positive signals.
  • Help answer questions about member engagement by listening systematically and reporting clearly.
  • Monitor member engagement signals to identify members ready for a deeper commitment.
  • Coordinate upgrade moments tied to member milestones in partnership with the Director of Membership and communications team.
  • Identify lapsed or at-risk members and flag them for targeted re-engagement, providing context on disengagement.
  • Support the Director of Membership in building and refining the upgrade playbook.
  • Maintain accurate, current member records and interaction logs in Virtuous.
  • Support coordination of PragerUnited gift box fulfillment, member welcome kits, and event logistics.
  • Assist with preparation of member-facing materials and other administrative needs of the Membership Team.
