About The Position
The Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) is seeking interested individuals to join its Advisory Committee. This committee provides direct input to the Board on issues important to consumers and licensees in the condominium management sector. Members will participate in consultations, provide feedback on CMRAO's policies and programs, and offer insights on emerging topics. The committee meets at the request of the Board, with a minimum of one meeting per year, and consultations may occur virtually or electronically. Members are appointed for two-year terms.
Requirements
- Computer literate
- Two (2) members from condominium communities (e.g., condo owners/residents, condo board directors)
- Two (2) professionals operating in the condominium management industry (e.g., condo lawyers, auditors, members of professional associations)
- No more than one (1) member may represent a single corporation or entity
Responsibilities
- Participate in consultations on specific topics upon request
- Provide input on emerging topics in the condominium management sector and other topics that may have an impact on the condominium management industry
- Provide feedback and recommendations on the development of CMRAO’s policies and programs related to licensing, compliance and education, and other general topics of importance to CMRAO and condominium communities
