The U.S. Chamber of Commerce offers a paid, substantive internship for current college or graduate students and individuals who graduated within the past six months. Interns support teams working on member engagement, stakeholder outreach, coalition building, and organizational strategy, gaining exposure to how the Chamber engages members, partners, and the broader business community. Responsibilities vary by department and semester and may include research, drafting memos, content creation, database management, policy work, communications, event planning, and coordination. Interns also participate in professional-development and networking programming, including company-wide meetings and social events, discussions with senior executives, and a resume-review and interview-preparation workshop. The internship runs from February 1 through April 9, 2027. It is part-time and hybrid, with interns expected to work from the Chamber’s downtown Washington, D.C. headquarters at least three days per week. Fully remote applicants will not be considered. Interns are responsible for arranging their own housing if needed. The position pays $18.00–$20.00 per hour; students may also receive academic credit if they meet their school’s criteria. U.S. work authorization is required, and candidates with CPT and/or OPT may apply. Department assignments may include Federation Relations and Coalition Partnerships; Member Relations and Corporate Research; the Executive Office; Strategic Alliances & Outreach; or the Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness. Application materials should indicate the applicant’s top two department preferences. Applications are accepted until Thursday, November 12, and interviews will be conducted in November and December.
