About The Position

We are seeking motivated students to join us for Test & Manufacturing Technician. As an intern, you will work closely with your mentor and other employees who will help you apply your knowledge and grow your skills on projects that have a significant impact. If you've demonstrated a commitment to hands on learning and motivation to apply your skills outside of the classroom, please apply! Internships are based at our Alameda, CA site and support manufacturing operations across our Design, Test, Electrical, Software, and Mechanical engineering teams, giving you exposure to how hardware moves from concept to build.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a manufacturing, machining, welding, electronics, mechatronics, or related technical/vocational program, or pursuing a degree in engineering, physics, math, or a related discipline.
• 3+ months of hands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, machining, or hardware builds (coursework, internships, personal projects, or team projects are applicable).
• Comfortable reading technical drawings, blueprints, or assembly instructions.
• Ability to work well in an integrated collaborative team environment, including frequent interactions with technicians, engineers, and managers.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic professional setting with changing needs and requirements.
• Must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and/or basic machine shop equipment is a plus.
