Member Services Representative
About The Position
Excel Fitness, a Planet Fitness franchise group based in Austin, Texas, is hiring a Member Services Representative to help create a positive member experience through excellent customer service and facility cleanliness. Team members work at the front desk, where they check in members, introduce prospective members to the club, assist with sign-ups and account updates, answer questions, and help maintain a clean facility. Excel Fitness describes opportunities to grow into management roles as the company expands. Employees at franchise locations are employed by the franchisee, not PFHQ.
Requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to stand and walk continually during a shift and talk continually in person or by phone during a shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally encounter commercial cleaning products during a shift.

Responsibilities
- Provide an exceptional customer service experience.
- Check members into the system.
- Give prospective members tours and assist with the new-account sign-up process.
- Facilitate updates to members’ accounts.
- Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to an Assistant Manager or Manager when needed.
- Perform detailed cleaning in all areas of the facility.
- Follow club safety, cleaning, masking, and social-distancing protocols.
