About The Position

The RecWell Services Coordinator is responsible for supervising the Member Services check-in desk at the Student Wellness Complex (SWC). This role ensures smooth daily operations, oversees staff, manages budgets, and supports departmental initiatives in wellness, marketing, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with budgeting, financial tracking software, and current UNF systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Member Services check-in desk at the Student Wellness Complex (SWC).
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of the Member Services desk.
  • Oversee Member Services staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluation.
  • Manage the Member Services budget and reconcile payroll.
  • Purchase and manage inventory relevant to student needs, including merchandise.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the ActiveNet point-of-sale (POS) system and other front desk technology.
  • Assist with locker management and related concerns.
  • Maintain PCI DSS certification and ensure desk staff are certified.
  • Establish and follow proper cash and check handling procedures.
  • Reconcile POS and vending massage chair sales weekly.
  • Process Departmental Deposits as needed.
  • Oversee refunds and other monetary transactions.
  • Manage budgets within SG and Auxiliary accounts.
  • Monitor POS revenue goals and attend budget meetings.
  • Develop and maintain policies for Member Services operations.
  • Contribute to department-wide marketing and promotional policy discussions.
  • Manage accident/incident reports.
  • Schedule SWC rentals via the Event Management System (EMS).
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations on EMS settings and policies.
  • Support other RecWell check-in desks.
  • Collect stats and comply with Department reporting requirements.
  • Oversee scheduling for SWC conference room and group fitness studios.
  • Coordinate facility use for outside groups and special events.
  • Participate in departmental committees and staff development initiatives.
  • Represent Member Services on departmental committees, project teams, and workgroups.
  • Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with RecWell staff, campus departments, and external partners.
  • Approve and manage SWC bulletin board postings.
  • Oversee the SWC digital signage platform Carousel and develop sponsorship opportunities.
  • Assist RecWell Department webmaster with website edits and ensure accessibility compliance.
  • Oversee department golf cart use and maintenance schedule.
  • Participate in cross-training activities and provide support across unit functions.
  • Collaborate across functional areas and provide operational support for special projects, events, and department-wide initiatives.
