About The Position

The Member Services Associate serves members and guests at the Stillwater YMCA, maintains member service control, answers telephones and member questions, and performs clerical duties. The role includes membership and program services, facility monitoring, and building meaningful relationships with members, donors, and volunteers. The starting pay is $10.00 per hour. Flexibility to work during holiday breaks, including Thanksgiving and Christmas, is essential.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid; training is provided by the Y if needed.
Strong verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Experience in a service-oriented environment.
Computer skills and accuracy.
Ability to lift 30 pounds.
Flexibility to work during holiday breaks, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Responsibilities

Provide member services, including membership sales and tours, answering and directing phone calls, guest registration, sharing program information, and program registration.
Enter membership and program information into a computer; accept payments, operate the cash register, and issue receipts.
Schedule appointments, make and scan membership cards, rent lockers, and stock and distribute towels.
Serve as a liaison between members and program supervisors.
Handle and resolve member inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
Monitor the facility as required.
Maintain current CPRPR/AED/O2 and First Aid certifications, renewed annually.
Demonstrate the character values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Attend scheduled staff meetings.
Refrain from using personal electronic devices, including cell phones and iPads.
Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors, and volunteers.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
