About The Position

Member Service Representatives conduct member interactions to promote satisfaction, membership sales, and retention. The role involves phone and in-person interactions with members and YMCA staff, along with administrative activities such as member and program enrollment, record keeping, and payment processing. Occasional evening and weekend availability is required. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Cash management experience.
• Organized and able to follow directions.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Comfortable working in a membership-driven environment.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks successfully in diverse situations.
• Computer and keyboarding experience.
• Strong communication skills and phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Process payments and maintain a balanced cash drawer and receipting according to procedures.
• Inform supervisors and/or co-workers of dilemmas, concerns, and updates during working times.
• Apply working knowledge of the membership system to data entry, maintenance, reporting, and related responsibilities.
• Complete accurate data entry and maintain records for new members, renewals, program participants, and guests.
• Ensure member resource information at the front desk is maintained.
• Keep the front desk and lobby area neat, clean, and professional.
• Greet members and visitors according to YMCA guidelines.
