About The Position
Lafayette Federal Credit Union is hiring a Member Service Representative for its Vienna, Virginia location. This entry-level role is focused on providing members with a high-quality customer service experience through in-person and telephone transactions. The representative processes transactions, assists with account openings and related services, and promotes credit union products. Applicants must reside in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia.
Requirements
- Applicants must reside in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia.
- Entry-level banking and/or retail experience with cash handling.
- Customer service experience.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, privacy, and professionalism as a front-line representative.
Responsibilities
- Process member transactions in person or by telephone, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cash advances, and transfers.
- Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service when processing transactions.
- Assist with opening checking and savings accounts and setting up direct deposits, ATM cards, CDs, IRAs, and money market accounts.
- Cross-sell and promote credit union products and services.
