About The Position

The Member Service Representative provides members and prospective members with the full range of Navy Federal Credit Union products and services, including deposit accounts, lending products, and credit and debit cards. The role performs moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision while developing confidence and independence. It is a part-time position based at the Glendale branch. Hours are typically 20–25+ per week, with longer hours required during training. Availability is needed Monday through Saturday, with hours based on business needs. Depending on business needs, the employee may be required to work at or permanently transfer to a neighboring branch within a reasonable commuting distance.

Responsibilities

Provide basic counseling on available products and services to meet member needs.
Assist members with opening and maintaining deposit accounts, loans, and other financial products.
Research and resolve basic account discrepancies and service requests.
Identify opportunities to cross-service products and enhance member relationships through education.
Understand and comply with relevant federal and institutional regulations related to financial products and services.
Support team members by sharing knowledge and best practices as experience grows.
Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly and securely.
Process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Remain cognizant of and adhere to Navy Federal policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
