About The Position

Greater Somerset County YMCA is seeking a friendly, administratively focused Member Service Representative for its Somerville/Bridgewater YMCAs. The role serves members, guests, and program participants promptly and courteously, builds relationships as an ambassador of the Y’s welcoming and inclusive culture, advances the organization’s Cause-Driven initiative, solves problems, and performs computer and administrative tasks to support the branches’ 5,000 members. The position is fully on-site and is intended to provide members with an exceptional experience from arrival through departure.

Flexible part-time hours are available, with particular interest in weekend availability for shifts of 6:45 a.m.–12 p.m. or 12 p.m.–5 p.m.

Requirements

• At least three years of member/customer service, hospitality, or other job-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to learn the YMCA database program; training is provided.
• Exceptional speaking, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience and proven success with multitasking, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
• Ability to work as part of a team and be flexible, reliable, and adaptable.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations, procedures, and unique situations.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and be self-accountable.
