About The Position
Coastal1 Credit Union is hiring a Member Service Representative II for its Post Road branch in Warwick. The role creates and sustains a welcoming environment while discovering and supporting members’ financial needs and goals. It assists members with everyday transactions, account opening and maintenance, and consumer lending needs while delivering exceptional service. The representative proactively engages members, asks discovery questions, and educates them about products and services to strengthen relationships and help members meet their financial goals. Coastal1 Credit Union was founded in 1928 and is based in Pawtucket. It serves more than 130,000 members through 19 branches in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, as well as a loan production office in Foxboro, Massachusetts. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior cash-handling experience.
- Previous teller experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent member service throughout each interaction and proactively engage members when opening consumer and business accounts and products, including savings, checking, IRAs, CDs, Visa, and debit cards.
- Perform member transactions discreetly and confidentially.
- Treat each member as an individual and use discovery questions to understand their goals and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Process member transactions and answer general account questions within the scope of the role.
- Refer members to appropriate team members for additional products and services, including loans, commercial products, and wealth management.
- Ensure the cash drawer and branch balance at the close of each business day and research errors as needed.
- Follow established processes and guidelines ethically and with integrity.
- Learn Coastal1 products and services and complete assigned training within required timeframes.
- Perform other duties as required.
