Member of the Technical Staff - Provider Tools

Andromeda Cluster•San Francisco, CA
•Remote

About The Position

Andromeda is hiring an individual contributor to build the software compute providers use to sell through its platform. The role replaces manual calls, spreadsheets, and checks with software that lets providers onboard GPU clusters, verify their health, list them for sale, and receive payment without manual intervention from Andromeda. The work is primarily backend engineering in Go, Postgres, and data pipelines, with a TypeScript console. The engineer will use hardware health data, collaborate with supply and solutions teams, participate in production on-call, and speak with providers weekly. The role also turns cluster data into practical advice about failures, buyer demand, and improvements providers can make to sell more.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated impressive technical work with meaningful real-world impact; the posting says experience could range from three to twenty years.
  • Experience building supply-side products such as onboarding, readiness checks, or payouts for sellers, hosts, merchants, or partners.
  • Production backend service experience in Go, or systems experience sufficient to ship production Go within the first month.
  • Experience building data pipelines and data models in SQL and Postgres or a warehouse that other teams rely on.
  • Ability to interpret a failing GPU health check on a Linux host and identify what broke.
  • Ability to build front ends for owned features.
  • Production on-call experience for a system customers depend on, with a track record of making the system quieter afterward.

Nice To Haves

  • GPU cloud or marketplace experience, including supply onboarding or capacity tracking at a GPU provider or marketplace.
  • Hardware validation experience, such as burn-in, acceptance testing, or checking delivered hardware against vendor commitments.
  • Fleet monitoring experience, including DCIM, uptime, or observability across multiple sites.
  • Experience with payouts and revenue sharing, including metering usage and accurately paying multiple parties.

Responsibilities

  • Build an automated provider onboarding flow from a signed provider agreement through a cluster being listed for sale.
  • Create automated readiness checks to determine whether clusters are ready to sell and continue monitoring them after listing.
  • Build provider statements showing what was sold and what the provider was paid.
  • Build uptime and health data pipelines across providers' clusters.
  • Create reports that advise providers which failures cost them sales and what to fix first.
  • Build the front end for each feature owned.
  • Participate in production on-call and improve system reliability.
  • Work with supply and solutions teams and speak with providers weekly.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay and meaningful equity.
  • Comprehensive benefits for employees and dependents, including healthcare, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k).
  • Unlimited PTO.
