About The Position

The Member of Technical Staff designs software experiences for Valkai workflows and works with frontier models to create software interfaces that help clients use Valkai products. The role involves building and maintaining applications, agents, and LLM-based systems; solving complex AI and computer science problems; and supporting secure, efficient software that team members and customers can use effectively.

The position works across Valkai teams and directly with customers to improve product preparation and performance, shape product experiences, and incorporate feature suggestions into new software systems. Duties also include other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent.
• At least three years of experience building frontend systems using TypeScript, React, Next.js, or similar programming languages.
• At least three years of experience designing backend services using Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, or similar technologies.
• At least three years of experience building large-scale fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• At least three years of experience with dashboard analytics to improve operational efficiency of designed automated unit turn tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Create, design, test, and optimize organizational-level interfaces for collaborating with AI, integrating them into users’ everyday workflows.
• Build agents and fine-tune LLMs to accomplish complex tasks, and maintain product quality through regular coding maintenance.
• Solve complex AI, LLM, and computer science problems to achieve efficient workflows.
• Clean and service Valkai software regularly so team members can understand and use its systems and software accurately.
• Build applications using Valkai’s technology stack, including Next.js, React, TypeScript, Python, Postgres, Azure, Vespa, LangGraph, and Celery.
• Conduct software retrieval tasks over petabyte-scale documents in varied formats, including graphs, tables, and diagrams, and create and use 1000-step planning agents with human-in-the-loop architectures.
• Create and maintain data security measures when handling sensitive client data.
• Work with Valkai teams and customers to improve product preparation and performance, including collaborating directly with customers on product experiences and feature suggestions for new software systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
