About The Position

Red Cell Partners is an incubation firm building and investing in technology-led companies across healthcare, cyber, and national security. Its new stealth startup is developing a platform to help mission-critical organizations in healthcare, government, and other regulated industries turn institutional knowledge into intelligence assets that improve AI accuracy, reliability, and impact in real-world workflows. The Member of Technical Staff, Platform Engineer (Full Stack) will productionize AI research and build scalable systems for model training, evaluation, and data collection. This remote, United States-based role focuses on architecting and scaling a reinforcement learning environments platform, developing large-scale data collection systems, and establishing engineering foundations that move research into reliable production. The engineer will work across the technology stack, with particular strength in backend systems, platform architecture, and infrastructure.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of professional experience building full-stack applications, backend systems, distributed systems, or platform infrastructure.
  • Deep proficiency in TypeScript, React, and modern backend architecture.
  • Strong experience designing and building scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, data modeling, distributed systems, and system design.
  • Demonstrated experience building and operating production systems on AWS or GCP.
  • Experience developing reliable, observable, and performant production systems.
  • Ability to translate research or product requirements into maintainable technical architectures and implementations.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering practices, including testing, code review, technical documentation, and production operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex issues across the technology stack.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams across functions and geographies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
