Microsoft AI is looking for a Member of Technical Staff – Full Stack – Engineering Manager to help build the next wave of capabilities of our personalized AI assistant, Copilot. You will be leading high-performing full-stack teams in delivering robust, scalable, and secure software solutions. You will be driving the development of capabilities for our Copilot product. You will model strong leadership, guide the architectural and technical direction of the product, and foster a collaborative, growth-oriented engineering culture. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering practices, people leadership, user-focused design, and operational excellence. In addition, hands-on coding and technical contribution will be a key part of your leadership, including writing and reviewing production-level code. In this role, you would be working with all the four stages of our evaluation platform: Data sampling, AI data collection and processing, data analysis/evaluation, and insights. You will take on multiple engineering roles and work across the full stack, including database backend, middle-tier services, front-end browser automation, statistical analysis, and creating consumable dashboards. Your role will also involve prompt engineering and extensive use of AI tools. Our newly formed organization, Microsoft AI, is dedicated to advancing Copilot and other consumer AI products and research. The team oversees Copilot, Bing, Edge, and generative AI research.
