About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director, Member Engagement, the Member Engagement Specialist supports and enhances the overall member experience by administering membership operations, engagement programs, communications, and events. This position serves as a primary point of contact for members and supports ACPE's (Association of Clinical Pastoral Education) efforts to strengthen member engagement, retention, recruitment, and professional belonging. Responsibilities include membership application and renewal processing, member data management, support of member events, reporting and analytics, and administration of the iMIS membership management platform.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and two years of related experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, association, higher education, or membership- based organization is preferred.
  • Experience with membership databases, CRM platforms, learning management systems or association management systems is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of iMIS software would be a significant plus.
  • This role requires residency in the state of GA.

Responsibilities

  • Supports efforts to build, strengthen, and maintain relationships throughout ACPE membership to foster a sense of professional home and belonging for all members in alignment with ACPE's Code of Ethics and commitment to being an anti-bias association.
  • Partners with the Director, Member Engagement to provide exceptional member service, timely communication, and responsive support.
  • Supports the development and implementation of data-driven member engagement, retention, and recruitment strategies.
  • Coordinates member onboarding activities, welcome communications, and member outreach initiatives.
  • Monitors engagement trends and recommend strategies to improve member participation, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Collaborates with leadership, committees, and volunteers to plan and execute annual, educational, and special member events.
  • Maintains accurate records of engagement activities and ensure proper tracking of member participation.
  • Generates membership reports, dashboards, and engagement metrics for leadership and Board reporting.
  • Collaborates with Finance staff to support timely dues payments, renewals, and membership status updates.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve member services, processes, and overall member experience.
  • Provides support to Director of Membership Engagement to the Professional Well- Being Committee and other assigned groups, ensuring records are maintained and strategic objectives are advanced.
  • Serves as a primary resource for membership policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Ensures timely and accurate processing of membership applications, renewals, status changes, and member inquiries.
  • Maintains data integrity and accurate member records within iMIS and related systems.
  • Serves as a primary administrator and subject matter resource for the iMIS membership management system.
  • Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for membership-related processes.
  • Partners with committees and staff to resolve member issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supports the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of the Community Gathering Structure (3 geographically based event hubs in odd years and 2 national events in even years).
  • Supports events by ensuring accurate data management, documentation, communication, and operational support.
  • Assists with ACPE's Community Gathering Strategy both in person and online member events.
  • Collaborates with Communications Manager to prepare communications and marketing for member events.
  • Collaborates with Psychotherapy Commission Administrator to ensure CEU accreditation standards are met for all applicable events.
  • Partners with Accounting & Finance Team to ensure on-time payment of all event speakers.
  • Tracks participation and engagement within member events and provides regular reports to leadership.
  • Assists with quarterly reporting and Board reporting processes related to member events.
  • Collaborates with leadership to evaluate and enhance administrative structures, processes, and support systems for member events.
  • Coordinates volunteers for all in-person member events.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
