Requirements

Must have operated at least a 25 ton rail mounted cab overhead crane.

Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Responsibilities

Carrying liquid steel to and from the Caster.
Assisting with Refractory and Caster personnel during size changes and maintenance days.
Working with Ladlewall personnel with all ladle movements.
Performing all Bloomyard crane operator responsibilities.
Assisting all Shift Supervisors, OHC operators, Ladle Carrier and LMF Operators to maintain proper records of heat numbers through the shop.
Making timely and accurate decisions under pressure.
Adhering to all requirements for protective equipment for those areas.
Filling in any of the OHC positions at any time (OHC #2, #1, #36, #23, #5, #6, #3, #24 and #101).
Being involved in (when covering) all EAF down-days (clean-up & shell changes) & involved in the operation and maintenance activities of the EAF (this includes the flux systems).
Working in extreme weather conditions.
Initiating, leading, and upholding safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
