About The Position

The Overhead Crane Technician is responsible for the inspection, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial lifting systems. They ensure overhead cranes operate safely and comply with all safety standards to minimize downtime.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with overhead cranes mechanics
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing
• Turning, twisting, bending and balancing
• Pushing, pulling and reaching
• Must be able to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventative maintenance, load test, and root cause analysis
• Read electrical schematics, program variables, and repair motors, festoons, and pendant controls
• Repair or replace heavy components such as gears, wheel bearings, wire ropes, hook blocks and brakes
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
