About The Position

ANDRITZ is seeking a hands-on, safety-minded Melt Shop / Induction Furnace Operator to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, melting, testing, and pouring metal while adhering to safety, quality, and production standards. This position is based in a manufacturing foundry environment and requires the ability to perform physical tasks and work in various conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills and comfort using measuring tools or equipment displays.
• Willingness to learn to operate equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and high lifts.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safe work practices.
• Reliable team player with good communication skills.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing, foundry, furnace, or equipment operation experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, weigh, and load materials for the melting process.
• Operate induction furnaces, cranes, ladles, and related equipment safely.
• Melt and pour metal according to work instructions and quality standards.
• Check metal chemistry using testing equipment and complete required records.
• Maintain furnace and ladle linings, including patching and relining when needed.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Work with team members to support production, quality, and continuous improvement goals.
