Melissa & Doug Brand Ambassador (Sales Associate)
About The Position
We are seeking a Part-Time Brand Ambassador to be located in The Westchester Mall and report to the General Manager. Brand Ambassadors are responsible fo r generating sales and building customer relationships in our retail stores , they are friendly, energetic and above all customer service oriente d. You will be responsible fo r maintainin g the visual and housekeeping standards of the store. This will include supporting management with receiving new merchandise, processing, and presentation to the sellin g floor. The associate must have a n ability to successfully operate our point-of-sale (POS) register system and operate our email system. Brand Ambassadors will be the front-line representatives of Melissa & Doug to our consumers, bringing the product to life through engagement and entertainment.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry or otherwise move objects weighing up to 15 pounds when merchandising the sales floor and use ladders or stairs
- 1+ years of prior experience in retail sales
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children in a learning capacity/environment preferred
- Experience with Shopify Plus platform is preferred
Responsibilities
- Be a Brand Ambassador, providing the ultimate customer service experience.
- Assists management team with merchandising the store as new products arrive weekly.
- Providing the customer with a beautiful and engaging environment is important - this person will maintain the store according to company visual standards.
- Demonstrate complete knowledge of the product features and benefits to maximize the sales opportunity.
- Responsible for client development beyond the initial transaction; utilizing phone, email & written follow-up contact.
- Ensure all functions of the store are maintained to support superior shopping experiences.
- Have computer skills to operate the POS register and email systems.
