About The Position

As an Event Coordinator, you'll bring events to life at Mutual of Omaha's corporate headquarters, managing every detail from concept through completion. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years of hands-on event coordination experience including vendor and client management
Strong coordination skills with ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Client-focused mindset with passion for creating memorable experiences and composure under pressure
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with diplomacy in handling sensitive situations
Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Flexibility in responding to last-minute changes and shifting priorities
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift 50 lbs., and operate event equipment
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event planning, or related field
Experience producing corporate events or conferences with executive-level clientele
Familiarity with event management platforms, booking systems, and BEO software
Knowledge of event production elements including staging, lighting, AV systems, and safety protocols
Experience reading and creating floor plans and event layouts
Certification in event planning (CMP, CSEP) or hospitality management

Responsibilities

Manage complete event execution from setup through tear-down including vendor coordination, installation supervision, floor plan implementation, and safety compliance
Serve as on-site event lead during productions, directing staff and vendors, troubleshooting in real time, and ensuring smooth operations throughout each event
Coordinate event logistics by responding to booking requests, consulting with organizers, producing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and managing timelines
Build and maintain vendor partnerships, managing contracts, conducting site visits, and coordinating schedules and deliveries
Oversee event technology coordination including meeting room system setup, equipment troubleshooting, and IT partnership
Maintain event documentation including calendars, floor plans, vendor logs, inventories, and client feedback
On-site presence required
