About The Position

A position has arisen within the Groups, Conference & Events Team, forming part of the Cluster Commercial Team at Hilton Malta and DoubleTree Hotel. The role will focus mainly on the prospecting and confirmation of international groups and conferences.

Requirements

• Operational or sales experience.
• Strong leadership skills.
• The ability to work well with the Operations Team and build strong relationships with people.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to think of innovative ways of attracting new business to the hotel.
• Knowledge of hotel operations and Food & Beverage, which is necessary to ensure the excellent execution of events.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.

Nice To Haves

• Good knowledge of Maltese and another language will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Work with and support the GM&E Team to drive sales activities and develop future and repeat business through proactive selling and commercial management sales techniques.
• Receive and convert incoming enquiries to achieve targets and maximise revenue.
• Seek opportunities to increase sales and conversions within the Team.
• Liaise with clients and group organisers to make the necessary arrangements for events.
• Build and maintain good relationships with clients.
• Arrange and carry out hotel show rounds and site inspections.
• Participate in hotel promotional activities.
• Assist the Conference and Events Team in achieving business objectives.
• Support the team with administrative tasks, reporting and filing.
