About The Position

This position centers on skilled electrical work involving medium voltage and related systems throughout Warren State Hospital. The role supports safe power distribution and reliable operation of essential electrical equipment. As a Medium Voltage Electrician, you will perform the following duties: Medium Voltage Work: Install, maintain, and repair switch gear, transformers, and distribution panels Generator Maintenance: Conduct weekly preventative maintenance and test runs on emergency standby generators System Monitoring: Check substation instruments, monitor switchboards, and interpret readings to maintain performance Technical Troubleshooting: Use blueprints, diagrams, tools, and testing instruments to locate and solve electrical problems Safety Compliance: Follow NFPA 70E rules and facility policies when working on electrical systems Equipment Operation: Operate lift trucks or bucket trucks to perform electrical repairs on outdoor lighting.

Requirements

Five years of journey-level experience in the electrical trade
An equivalent combination of experience and training
Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
Meet the PA residency requirement
Able to perform essential job functions
Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance
