About The Position
Fair Oaks Estates is a locally owned and operated, secure gated community in Carmichael, California, providing Assisted Living and Memory Care for older adults with dementia. The 63-bedroom community is set on four acres and offers private and shared studio apartments, specialized care plans, activities, dining, and qualified care staff. The Medication Technician will dispense medications to residents in the Assisted Living community and oversee care and medication needs in the Memory Care Wing. The role also includes supporting resident care, medication-room operations, documentation, and emergency response. Requirements
- Previous Medication Technician experience is required.
- Previous experience as a Medication Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures.
- Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Nice To Haves
- Previous supervisor or management experience.
Responsibilities
- Communicate resident changes and medication updates to the resident care director.
- Ensure the department is compliant with Title XXII requirements at all times.
- Follow medication guidelines provided during medication training.
- Pull and pour medications and assist residents with their medications.
- Ensure resident care is performed according to assessments and documented.
- Assist with medication-room tasks.
- Assist with and manage resident emergencies.
- Help on the floor as a caregiver when necessary.
