PT Medication Technician
About The Position
Brookdale is hiring a part-time Medication Technician. Based on state regulations and completion of required training or certification, the role administers medications and treatments as prescribed by a health care provider or assists residents with self-administration. The Medication Technician observes and reports residents’ responses to a supervisor. The role also helps maintain an organized, clean medication supply room, assists with medication cart audits, accurately counts medications, and communicates with pharmacies to coordinate medication delivery. Requirements
- Complete required training or certification in accordance with state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Administer or assist with self-administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by a health care provider, in accordance with state regulations and required training or certification.
- Observe and report residents’ responses to a supervisor.
- Keep the medication supply room organized and clean.
- Assist with medication cart audits.
- Provide accurate counts of all medications.
- Communicate with pharmacies to coordinate medication delivery.
