About The Position
The Williamsport Home is seeking dedicated Medication Technicians (Med Techs) to join our Personal Care team. For generations, The Williamsport Home has been a trusted provider of senior care services in North Central Pennsylvania. Our mission is to provide high-quality care while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life for every resident we serve. The Medication Technician is responsible for administering medications as prescribed, monitoring residents for changes in condition, documenting medication administration, and assisting with personal care needs while promoting each resident's dignity, independence, and well-being.
Requirements
- Current Medication Administration Certification or ability to obtain certification
- Previous experience in personal care, assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare preferred
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
Responsibilities
- Administer medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition
- Maintain accurate medication administration records (MARs)
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and other team members
- Ensure resident safety and confidentiality at all times
- Participate in resident care planning and team meetings
