About The Position
Claiborne Senior Living is hiring Medication Technicians / Certified Medication Aides to safely administer medications and support resident care in a senior living community. The role provides an opportunity to use medication administration skills in a structured, supportive environment and contribute to a team that values integrity, focus, and accountability. The position involves administering medications in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and community policy; monitoring residents; maintaining accurate medication records; and supporting residents with activities of daily living as needed. The employee must follow infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements and report changes in residents’ conditions or other concerns to nursing leadership.
Requirements
- Active CMA or Medication Technician certification; state requirements apply.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Reliability, focus, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in senior living, assisted living, or healthcare is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and community policy.
- Follow the Six Rights of medication administration and proper documentation standards.
- Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and side effects.
- Report changes in condition or concerns to nursing leadership.
- Maintain accurate medication records and controlled substance counts.
- Support residents with activities of daily living as needed.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
