About The Position
Performs medication reconciliation on admitted patients in the Emergency Care Center. Must be able to interact with hospital personnel and interview patients to obtain accurate and up-to-date medications.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician License in Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 months of pharmacy experience
- Excellent verbal/written skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of medications.
- Positive interpersonal communication skills and good organizational skills.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in interviewing patients.
- Ability to decipher medication information and determine validity of the information.
- Able to multi-task, handle interruptions and work effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
