About The Position

The Refill Pharmacy Technician Supervisor provides day‑to‑day operational leadership and frontline oversight for the centralized Refill team, supporting IU Health providers and clinics statewide to ensure timely patient access to medications. Reporting to the Refill Pharmacy Manager, the Supervisor coordinates daily workflows, monitors performance expectations, and ensures regulatory compliance. Key duties include, but may not be limited to: Scheduling, Workload distribution, Training and onboarding support, Performance feedback assistance, and Serving as an escalation point for workflow issues. The role collaborates closely with peers, clinicians, nurses and pharmacists to drive workflow improvements, standardize processes and performance metrics, and maintain high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and service quality, while also fostering team engagement and contributing to the ongoing growth of the Centralized Refill program.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory/leadership experience
  • Absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs
  • Strong mathematical calculation skills
  • Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Knowledge of pharmacy and hospital computer systems and computer-assisted devices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Full proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Indiana Pharmacy Technician License
  • Pharmacy Technician National Certification
  • BLS

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
