About The Position

Cardinal Lane Senior Living is seeking a part-time Caregiver for 1st and 2nd shifts who can grow into a Medication Aide. The role supports residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. The Caregiver encourages resident independence and choice, preserves resident dignity, and maintains professional conduct and interactions.

The position calls for a positive, helpful customer-service approach, personal initiative, dependable attendance, thoughtful communication, and confidentiality. The employee is expected to maintain a neat, clean appearance, participate in designated facility in-services, and help new staff learn job tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Positive customer-service attitude; approachable, friendly, and willing to assist others.
• Personal initiative to complete work without constant supervision.
• Consistent work attendance as scheduled.
• Communication skills including careful listening, sensitivity to others’ thoughts and feelings, thoughtful responses, and timely, accurate reporting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Neat, clean appearance.
• Meets age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Prior direct care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
