About The Position

Cardinal Lane Senior Living is seeking a part-time caregiver for first- and second-shift work, with the opportunity to grow into a Medication Aide. The role supports residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. The caregiver encourages resident independence and choice and preserves residents’ dignity through professional conduct and interactions.

The position calls for a positive, helpful customer-service attitude; initiative and the ability to complete work without constant supervision; reliable attendance; thoughtful, timely communication; confidentiality; a neat, clean appearance; and participation in designated facility in-services. The employee may also help new staff learn job tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Meet age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.
• Demonstrate a positive customer-service attitude and willingness to assist others.
• Display initiative to complete work without constant supervision.
• Maintain consistent attendance as scheduled and address work-related problems with the proper individuals.
• Have communication skills that include careful listening, sensitivity to others’ thoughts and feelings, thoughtful responses, and timely, accurate reporting.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance.

Nice To Haves

• Prior direct care experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certification.
