About The Position

Clarendale Clayton is recruiting a Medication Aide who works under the direct supervision of a nurse. The role assists licensed nursing staff by performing routine care duties and activities of daily living. This is a full-time overnight position scheduled from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., paying $20 per hour. Successful completion of the employer’s in-house training is required to maintain employment.

Requirements

L1MA certification is required.
Successful completion of the employer’s in-house training is required to maintain employment.
Must be reliable and dependable with attendance.
Must maintain a professional appearance and communication.
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
Ability to document care given.

Nice To Haves

Prior senior living nursing aide experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Pass medications.
Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
Give treatments, perform tests, carry out procedures, and collect specimens as instructed.
Report and record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed.
Answer signal lights promptly.
Change bed linens, make beds, and keep rooms clean and orderly.
Safely prepare, administer, and chart oral, topical, and suppository drugs.
Check and prepare each dose immediately preceding administration.
Complete monthly online trainings.
