About The Position

Bloom, an insurance industry growth partner, is seeking a motivated and skilled Medicare Sales Agent for a temporary role supporting their Medicare sales programs during the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7). The role typically begins in August or September and requires flexibility to work shifts within the Hours of Operation (HOO), which can include evenings and weekends during AEP (Monday-Sunday, 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM EST). Agents will make outbound calls to assigned leads, primarily focusing on Medicare Advantage (MA) sales for the Focused Health program. This is a temporary position with potential for extension into the Open Enrollment Period (OEP) and possible transition to a full-time role for high-performing agents. The role is 100% remote and requires agents to use their own computer equipment (BYOD), with Bloom providing and installing security software. Reliable high-speed internet and a suitable workspace are also necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Active Health and Life Insurance license required
  • Stay motivated and work hard to find solutions.
  • Communicate clearly and demonstrate strong phone etiquette.
  • Work well with others and contribute positively to the team.
  • Pay close attention to detail and follow instructions accurately.
  • Solve problems effectively and think quickly when issues come up.
  • Manage time well and can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable using computers, navigating multiple systems, and switching between websites.
  • Reliable and on time, and able to adapt to changing work needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior sales or customer service skills preferred
  • 1 year Medicare experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Help Medicare-eligible individuals understand their health plan options.
  • Accurately assess prospect needs, explain product differences, and assist in selecting the best product.
  • Make outbound calls to prospective or current members to review products/services, answer questions, and explain plan details.
  • Assist prospects in completing enrollment applications accurately and completely over the phone.
  • Meet sales goals and adhere to all company and Medicare (CMS) rules.
  • Meet and maintain requirements for agent licensure, appointments, and annual product certification.
  • Build friendly and positive relationships with customers.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and trainers.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to growing sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Complete other tasks as needed to support the team and program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
