About The Position

Bloom, an insurance industry growth partner, is seeking a motivated and skilled Medicare Sales Agent for a temporary role supporting their Medicare sales programs during the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7). The role typically begins in August or September and requires flexibility to work shifts within operating hours, including potential weekend and evening coverage. Agents will work assigned leads through inbound and/or outbound calls, focusing primarily on Medicare Advantage (MA) sales. This temporary position has the potential to extend into the Open Enrollment Period (OEP) and high-performing agents may be considered for full-time roles upon completion of the season.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Fluent in Mandarin and/or Cantonese
  • 1 year Medicare experience required
  • Active Health and Life Insurance license required
  • Stay motivated and work hard to find solutions.
  • Communicate clearly and demonstrate strong phone etiquette.
  • Work well with others and contribute positively to the team.
  • Pay close attention to detail and follow instructions accurately.
  • Solve problems effectively and think quickly when issues come up.
  • Manage time well and can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable using computers, navigating multiple systems, and switching between websites.
  • Reliable and on time, and able to adapt to changing work needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior sales or customer service skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Help customers understand Medicare and their health plan options so they can choose what works best for them.
  • Talk with customers inbound and/or outbound calls to answer questions and explain plan details.
  • Handle sales and support calls, giving clear and correct information.
  • Meet your sales goals and follow all company and Medicare (CMS) rules.
  • Build friendly and positive relationships with customers during each call.
  • Work well with your team, supervisors, and trainers and communicate respectfully.
  • Stay interested in growing your sales skills and learning more about the products you sell.
  • Complete other tasks as needed to support the team and program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
