About The Position

The Medical Wealth Advisor is responsible for the origination and ongoing management of a profitable loan, deposit, fee income, and non-interest income portfolio from attorneys or physicians and small to mid-sized law firms or medical practices. This role focuses on developing and retaining long-term, profitable client relationships. The Medical Specialty Group (MSG) provides financial advice and solutions exclusively to physicians and medical practices, while the Legal Specialty Group (LSG) serves attorneys and law firms, offering expertise in the dynamics of their respective professions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7 or more years of lending or relationship management experience in the financial services industry
  • Maintains proper FINRA licenses including Series 7, Series 66, Life, Health, and Variable insurance licenses (candidates have 60-100 days to transfer or acquire licenses).
  • Demonstrates basic to solid investment knowledge and the ability to deliver basic Financial Planning via Financial Profiles Forecaster software.
  • Strong credit knowledge to personally deliver standard commercial credit and consumer credit to assigned clients.
  • Possess very strong deposit and general banking acumen to deliver advice on banking products such as deposits, credit cards, mortgages, etc.
  • Basic wealth management knowledge
  • Excellent and proven oral, written, and group presentation skills.
  • Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration, and applicable NMLS acceptable background check.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a profitable book of clients consisting of small to mid-size law firms and attorneys or mid-size medical practices and medical physicians, including deposits, loans, and assets under management. Typical book size $3MM-$4.5MM in revenue with emphasis on family wealth relationships of tenured partners within Legal or Medical client firms.
  • Develop an annual business plan, including marketing and client acquisition strategies, in conjunction with a service delivery plan for clients and prospects.
  • Proactively originate new business through leads and referrals from Centers of Influence, marketing efforts, client introductions, and professional networking in deposits, loans, and investments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for private practice within Legal or Medical firm relationship teams for assigned firms or practices.
  • Identify and appropriately channel opportunities for clients and prospects, leveraging the bank's comprehensive resources.
  • Coordinate and lead the WRAP process for advice delivery, holding relationship strategy sessions with relationship teams and delivering a Purpose Driven Wealth experience.
  • Document all client interactions using the CRM system.
  • Establish consistent visibility within local legal or medical markets through event attendance.
  • Participate in campaigns or volunteer at a committee level within local non-profit organizations.
  • Support Wealth Advisor teammates through collaborative relationship strategies and teamwork.
  • Develop processes to mitigate risk within individual practices, focusing on operational, regulatory, and reputational environments.
  • Foster continued personal and professional growth through education seminars, conference attendance, and other continuing education activities.
