About The Position
Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a dependable, safety-minded non-CDL driver to support local healthcare routes in the Denver, Colorado area. The driver collects and transports medical waste and sharps containers, operates company vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks, and provides professional customer service at healthcare facilities. This is a permanent, full-time Monday–Friday first-shift position, scheduled from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., with 40 or more hours per week. The role requires heavy lifting and offers opportunities for overtime. The position pays a set, non-negotiable rate of $25.50 per hour and offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus: $1,000 after 30 days of employment and $2,000 after 90 days. Full-time employees receive benefits, sick leave, and vacation leave from day one. Requirements
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- DOT medical card.
- Experience operating vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks.
- Familiarity with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
- Confidence completing Level 1–3 DOT road checks.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and proven tenure with past employers.
- Customer-focused mindset and a flexible, can-do attitude.
- Commitment to safe driving and on-time delivery practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Safely collect, transport, and store medical waste and sharps containers.
- Operate company vehicles up to 26-foot box trucks.
- Manage assigned local routes and provide timely, reliable service.
- Complete deliveries according to schedule and communicate route changes or issues.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain DOT compliance, including logs and roadside inspections.
- Load and unload containers throughout the day.
- Organize and prioritize the truck based on route needs.
- Build positive relationships with healthcare customers through professional, friendly service.
