About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The position provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and maintains standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The Registered Nurse is accountable for care provided to assigned patients and guides patient and family teaching as well as the activities of other nursing personnel. The nurse communicates changes in a patient's clinical condition to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds promptly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.

This is a full-time, 12-hour day-shift position at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Georgia.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Previous acute-care hospital experience.
• Ventilator management experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Remain directly responsible and accountable for care given to assigned patients.
• Communicate changes in a patient's clinical condition to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and response to treatment.
