About The Position

Join our team as a Substitute Instructor for Medical Trades at Denison Job Corps Center! We are seeking passionate individuals who identify with our values and are willing to challenge themselves both personally and professionally. This role involves instructing in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in a designated subject area, and promoting a positive and desirable atmosphere to ensure maximum student motivation and learning. The Substitute Instructor is also responsible for maintaining a high degree of discipline, student personnel folders, and recording/forwarding daily attendance.

Requirements

Associate's Degree or 60 semester hours and the completion of an approved substitute authorization course.
Completed application to the Iowa's Board of Educational Examiners.
Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
Due to the nature of the duties involved, this role is classified as safety-sensitive and requires pre-employment drug/alcohol testing consistent with state law and organizational policy.

Nice To Haves

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains student personnel folders.
