About The Position

Join our team as a Substitute Instructor for Construction Trades at Denison Job Corps Center! We seek employees who are passionate about serving and making a difference in the lives of others. This is an on-call position, working up to 29 hours per week, where you will perform as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in a designated subject area. You will promote a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure maximum student motivation and maintain a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning. You will also maintain student personnel folders and record and forward daily attendance to the Student Records area.

Requirements

Associate's Degree or 60 semester hours and the completion of an approved substitute authorization course.
Completed application to the Iowa's Board of Educational Examiners.
Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
Due to the nature of the duties involved, this role is classified as safety-sensitive and requires pre-employment drug/alcohol testing consistent with state law and organizational policy.

Nice To Haves

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
