About The Position
In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, the Medical Technologist collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide excellent patient care by delivering timely and accurate laboratory results. The position is PRN and works PRN days. Methodist Dallas Medical Center is the flagship hospital of Methodist Health System and a 595-bed acute care teaching and referral hospital. It is home to southern Dallas’s only adult Level I Trauma Center and first and only Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, as well as the newly renovated Linda and Mitch Hart Breast Center. The hospital has served the community for more than 90 years and welcomes a diverse workforce that reflects the communities it serves.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology or a related area of specialty, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education that provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- For individuals educated outside the United States, an equivalency statement from a business dedicated to education equivalency services showing equivalence to the stated education requirements.
- Certification/registration as a Medical Technologist, or eligibility for certification/registration.
- ASCP certifications received after January 2004 and AMT certifications received after January 2006 must be kept current through continuing education as required by the respective associations.
- Certified Medical Technologist work experience.
