About The Position

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform technical laboratory functions including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Immunology and Microbiology testing. The role involves receiving and processing specimens, examining specimens, and recording test results. The Medical Technologist will analyze results using knowledge of test principles and clinical significance, and analyze test quality per established performance standards. This position will also provide test result information to approved callers and alert appropriate personnel to abnormal test results for immediate action.

Requirements

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree required. (MT only)

Nice To Haves

Certification, by a nationally recognized professional registry, within 1 year of employment is preferred
Clinical laboratory internship.
Two years of clinical experience is preferred
