About The Position
Come join a Laboratory team that makes a difference in the lives of their patient each and every day! MUSC/Florence, SC is currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)/Medical Technologist (MT) to join their phenomenal team PRN! Unfortunately, we are not able to do sponsorships.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited/NAACLS approved program for Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
- ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW required
Nice To Haves
- One to two years’ experience working in an accredited laboratory preferred but will gladly accept new grads!
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests as requested by healthcare staff according to established protocols and procedures.
- Prepares specimens for microscopic examination or testing procedures.
- Operates automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Performs quality control and assurance procedures.
- Records lab results in specified system.
- Follows all required HIPAA privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards.
