About The Position
Performs essential duties related to one or more clinical laboratory subspecialties, including Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and Microbiology/Immunology, based on shift. Microbiology bench reading experience is required. The posting also describes related testing qualifications and preferences for the Medical Technologist role.
Requirements
- Microbiology bench reading experience.
- Alternatively to completion of an accredited medical technology program, possess qualifications for high-complexity testing as evaluated under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (42 CFR 493.1489).
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical laboratory experience; student experience is acceptable.
- Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited medical technology program.
- ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) Registry.
