About The Position

This is a Medical Surgical/Telemetry position with a Day shift (3x12s). The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5, with a possibility of 1:6-7. The role requires 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, and if the candidate has over 4 years of experience, travel experience is not required. Weekend work is required, with 3 weekend shifts per 6 weeks. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory, and NIH is preferred. Clinicians will float within their scope to meet facility needs. Locals are accepted. The position offers 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week (GWW). Special requirements include a self-rating of 3 or above in Cardiac and a preferred self-rating of 3 or above in basic dysrhythmia training. All units may care for patients with mental health diagnoses. Top diagnoses/procedures include altered mental status, CHF, stroke, ortho, surgical patients, DKA, and infections.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.

• Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit.
