About The Position

This is a Medical Surgical/Telemetry position with a Days shift (3x12s). The nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:5, with a chance of 1:6-7. The role requires 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. Travel experience is not required if the candidate has over 4 years of experience. Weekend work is required, with 3 weekend shifts per 6 weeks. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory, and NIH is preferred. This position does not require on-call duties. Clinicians will float within scope to meet facility needs. Block schedules are not accommodated. Locals are accepted, but pending licenses are not. Guaranteed hours are 36 per week. Special requirements include a self-rating of 3 or above in Cardiac and preferred basic dysrhythmia training (self-rating 3 or above). All units may care for patients with mental health diagnoses. Top diagnoses/procedures include altered mental status, CHF, stroke, ortho, surgical patients, DKA, and infections.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit.

• Care for patients with various diagnoses including altered mental status, CHF, stroke, ortho, surgical patients, DKA, and infections.
• Care for patients with mental health diagnoses.
