About The Position
As a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in the Oncology unit, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients with a variety of medical-surgical needs. This is a night shift position. This is a well-organized and recently established oncology unit with a strong focus on quality care. Newer equipment in excellent working condition, including computerized systems and vital sign monitors in each room. Exceptional track record with no CAUTI incidents in over 3 years, no CLABSI in over 4 months, and no CDIFF acquired infections in over a year. Recognition of staff excellence, including a recent Daisy Award recipient. A staff team with over 160 years of combined experience. A Director with over 5 years of experience in leadership within the unit. Implementation of self-scheduling, with a commitment to working every other weekend. Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg/Oncology hospital RN experience
- BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- ACLS certification
- Chemotherapy Certification
- Prior experience with Meditech
- Compassionate, caring, and communicate effectively
- Patient care experience is highly valued
